As an antiques collector I have had the opportunity to study the form and surface of thousands of American folk art pieces. As an artist I have come to appreciate the sincerity, creativity and raw talent expressed by the men and women who made these extraordinary works. These early American folk artists left us with the most wonderful and enduring legacy of weathervanes, cigar store Indians, figureheads, trade signs, eagles and other sublime folk art wood carvings.

Out of a passion for folk art sculpture, antiques and a respect for the woodcarvers and artisans who made them, I began carving my own original and reproduction 18th and 19th century folk art sculpture. My aim is to create the finest contemporary folk art sculpture in the traditional style, and with the spirit of, the best folk art masterpieces.
